Graduated at the Faculty of Architecture of Florence in 1980 at the Institute of History and Restoration of Monuments with a thesis on "Correggio's frescoes in the Dome of Parma Cathedral. Problems of detection, conservation and interpretation",
I have carried out university activities since 1975 with various roles within the Institute of History of Architecture and Restoration of Monuments of the Faculty of Architecture of Florence with seminars in collaboration with the Prof. Eugenio Battisti on Brunelleschi's architecture, in particular on the Tuscan fortifications and on the dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence. I also held seminars with the Prof. Marcello Fagiolo on the design configurations of the fourteenth and sixteenth century defensive structures in Tuscany, on the rural settlements and fortified "masseria" in Puglia and on the geometric shapes of the domed roofs.
In parallel with my university activity, I have developed a substantial scientific research activity, always in the field of Monument Restoration, with particularly interesting results presented in various conferences and scientific publications.
The specialization acquired in the field of monumental conservation and restoration, in philological investigations of monumental artistic heritage and in building recovery has led to the acquisition of public and private professional assignments, of different types and sizes, with collaborations with Institutions and Soprintendenza for Heritage Artistic, Architectural and Environmental Regions of Lazio, Abruzzo and Tuscany and with the Municipalities of Ostuni, Perugia and Florence.
The professional activity has also been carried out with numerous private clients in the residential, hospitality and commercial fields. Each intervention was completed taking into account the needs and objectives of the client, always having at heart respect for the place and pre-existing buildings, territorial and environmental characteristics.
