L'incarico ha previsto il restauro conservativo dell'antica chiesa con convento, la riqualificazione generale dell'organismo edilizio settecentesco, e la realizzazione di un itinerario museale all'interno del complesso, così da riutilizzarlo come sede del <<Museo delle civiltà preclassiche>>.

In particolare il progetto ha approfondito il tema dei percorsi sia orizzontali che verticali per mettere in comunicazione gli ambienti posti a livelli differenti dell'intero complesso e renderli accessibili al pubblico. In quest'ottica sono nati dei nuovi percorsi realizzati con l'inserimento di passerelle, scale e ascensori, unificati nel linguaggio attraverso l'uso di materiali e colori contemporanei immediatamente individuabili e riconoscibili, volutamente scelti in antitesi con l'architettura e le matericità storiche preesistenti. Si crea, quindi, l'impressione che questi nuovi elementi distributivi si adagino e si muovano negli spazi antichi senza violarli.

Gli ambienti, a loro volta oggetto di interventi di restauro e consolidamento, che accolgono questi percorsi, acquisiscono nuova vita e vitalità con una funzione ed un'immagine rinnovata.

A chiusura del percorso il progetto ha previsto la realizzazione di un bar all'ultimo piano, affacciato su una grande terrazza, da cui si gode di un panorama unico.

The project involved the conservative restoration of the ancient church with the convent, the general redevelopment of the eighteenth-century building structure, and the creation of a museum itinerary within the complex, so as to reuse it as the seat of the << Museum of pre-classical civilizations>>.

In particular, the project explored the theme of both horizontal and vertical paths to connect the rooms located at different levels of the entire complex and make them accessible to the public. With this in mind, new paths have been created with the inclusion of walkways, stairs and elevators, unified in language through the use of contemporary materials and colors that are immediately identifiable and recognizable, deliberately chosen in antithesis with the pre-existing architecture and materials. Therefore, the impression is created that these new distributive elements are reclining and moving in the ancient spaces without violating them.

The rooms, in turn subject to restoration and consolidation interventions, which welcome these paths, acquire new life and vitality with a renewed function and image.

At the end of the path, the project involved the construction of a bar on the top floor, overlooking a large terrace, from which you can enjoy a unique panorama.
